A Parasailing Business Is The Featured Business For Sale For January 2012 At Sunbelt Business Brokers Of Raleigh

Making Money and People Happy

Raleigh NC (PRWEB) January 25, 2012

To many, an attraction of this parasailing business is that all of its profits are made in a five month period. This one has consistently made over $ 100,000 per year and the asking price is just $ 149,000. “PAPO (Professional Association of Parasail Operators) certified boat captains are relatively easy to hire, so the new owner does not even have to be a captain the first year,” says Mark Richie of Sunbelt. In an economic environment where there are a higher than normal amount of underperforming businesses, this parasailing business earns the “Feature” status because it is such a good value.

We asked Richie, Sunbelt Raleigh’s owner, why this business continues to perform in an otherwise weak economy. “It is the culture here that we go to the beach to vacation. Some vacationers are restricted from going due to the economy, but many are going to the beach instead of a more expensive vacation. A parasailing adventure can be the highlight of the vacation and people aren’t giving that up. The owner runs this business well with systems in place and a perfect safety record.”

When Sunbelt of Raleigh features a business for sale, advertising is enhanced across most mediums. Sunbelt Business Brokers uses fourteen different advertising websites to promote businesses for sale. The company then highlights those advertisements to increase exposure and buyer traffic.

Sunbelt is the world’s largest business brokerage firm, with approximately 250 licensed offices located throughout the world. Annually, more than 1,400 Sunbelt brokers coordinate an estimated 3,000 Main Street and Middle Market business transactions. That is why the company says, “Sunbelt is the place to go to buy or sell a business.”

The Raleigh office of Sunbelt has been serving buyers and sellers for 25 years. There is an experienced staff of brokers including specialists in the Food & Beverage Business and Publishing & Media.

Bavaria Yachts USA Announces Expansion Plans for 2012

Bavaria Yachts USA Announces Expansion Plans for 2012

(PRWEB) January 10, 2012

Bavaria Yachts announces plans to open factory-direct locations in Newport, RI, The Great Lakes (Chicago), and The San Francisco Bay Area by year-end. In 2011, Bavaria Yachts USA launched a new groundbreaking direct business model, starting with its flagship location in the heart of Annapolis, Maryland.  Based on the tremendous demand and market feedback coming from the premier of the all-new Cruiser line at the 2011US Boat Show in Annapolis, Bavaria is expanding the current sales/ service/ charter footprint to directly serve the Northeast, Great Lakes, and Northern California markets.

Just like the Annapolis flagship location, the Newport, Chicago, and Bay Area locations will offer direct sales of Bavaria Yachts built to each owner’s specifications, the ability to charter a new Bavaria to see first-hand what all the buzz is about, limited opportunities for owners to put their boat into charter to defray the majority of out-of-pocket expenses, as well as, dedicated world-class service focusing solely on Bavaria owners.   Each new location will include a dedicated Horizon Yacht Charters base, so charter owners and charterers can expect the same first-class service that loyal clients have enjoyed for years at Horizon’s bases in the BVI, St. Marteen, Antigua, Grenada, and its newest location, Annapolis, which opened spring 2011.

Following the opening of the new office locations, expect to see models from the Cruiser and Vision lines on hand at the Newport Boat Show (Sept 2012), US Boat Show in Annapolis (Oct 2012), Strictly Sail Chicago Show (Jan 2013), and Strictly Sail Pacific Show (April 2013).

Bavaria Yachts is currently taking orders from everywhere in the US, and offers travel reimbursements or try-before-you-buy chartering for those who want to come to Annapolis to experience the boats first-hand. Charter ownership opportunities are available to fill out the fleets in the the three locations coming soon, as well as a few opportunities remaining in the Annapolis fleet.

Bottega Veneta Launches Spring-Summer 2012 Advertising Campaign

Bottega Veneta Launches Spring-Summer 2012 Advertising Campaign

Bottega Veneta Spring-Summer 2012 Advertising Campaign

(PRWEB) January 04, 2012

Bottega Veneta is pleased to announce that artist and photographer Jack Pierson has shot the brand’s Spring-Summer 2012 advertising campaign. The campaign, which features the women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections, was shot in October of 2011, on location in Coconut Grove, Florida. It is the latest in Bottega Veneta’s one-of-a-kind creative collaborations featuring the talents of outstanding artists

The Spring-Summer 2012 collection is an exuberant exploration of diverse materials, unusual finishes, and exaggerated prints. The palette is vivid and saturated, filled with purples, blues, greens, and reds. The silhouette is architecturally rigorous but sensuous, a combination of tailored angles and fluid lines that keep close to the body. Accessories are bold, luxurious, and intricately worked, mixing color, texture, and technique with artful abandon. The unusual balance of technology and artisanal craftsmanship evident in each piece lends the collection a particularly expressive sophistication.

Jack Pierson is a celebrated contemporary artist known for work that ranges across many media, including photography, collage, drawing, painting, and installations. This diversity makes it difficult to categorize Pierson’s art, though virtually everything he makes evinces a compelling combination of emotional vulnerability and formal sophistication. Pierson’s photographs often read like a diary, combining elements of nostalgia, loneliness, the romantic ideal, and a search for beauty. The artist, who splits his time between New York and Southern California, has had numerous solo exhibitions and participated in group shows around the world. His work is included in the collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and the Guggenheim in New York, among other prestigious institutions.

The mix of emotional depth and formal rigor that Pierson brings to his photographs are what led Bottega Veneta Creative Director Tomas Maier to approach him for the Spring-Summer 2012 collection advertising campaign. “I’ve admired Jack’s work for many years, especially his ability to create images that feel at once precise and spontaneous. I was interested to see what he would bring to this collection, which combines meticulous technique with a spirit of freedom and exploration,” he explains. “I’m very happy with the result. Jack’s images capture the complexity as well as the joy of the collection.”

A video documenting the photo shoot will be added in February to the Art of Collaboration video series at bottegaveneta.com

Jack Pierson joins a long list of renowned artists who have contributed to the creation of Bottega Veneta’s advertising portfolio. Previous collaborations include Mona Kuhn (Cruise 2011), Robert Polidori (Fall 2011), Alex Prager (Spring 2011), Robert Longo (Fall 2010), Nan Goldin (Spring 2010), Steven Meisel (Fall 2009), Larry Sultan (Spring 2009), Todd Eberle (Cruise 2009), Nick Knight (Fall 2008), Sam Taylor-Wood (Spring 2008), Annie Leibovitz (Fall 2007), Tina Barney (Spring 2007), Lord Snowdon (Fall 2006), Stephen Shore (Spring 2006) and Philip-Lorca diCorcia (Fall 2005). Bottega Veneta’s Spring-Summer 2012 advertising campaign will debut in the February issues of select magazines globally.

Bottega Veneta

Discretion, quality, and craftsmanship — Bottega Veneta has created a new standard of luxury since its founding in Vicenza in 1966. Steeped in the traditions of Italy’s master leather craftsmen and long celebrated for its extraordinary leather goods, Bottega Veneta has recently emerged as one of the world’s premier luxury brands. The company’s famous motto, “When your own initials are enough,” expresses a philosophy of individuality and confidence that now applies to a range of products including women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, fine jewelry, furniture, and more.

While Bottega Veneta continues to grow, the qualities that define it are unchanging: outstanding craftsmanship, innovative design, contemporary functionality, and the highest quality materials. Also constant is Bottega Veneta’s commitment to its ateliers, where artisans of remarkable skill combine traditional mastery with breathtaking innovation. Indeed, there is an unusual and inspired collaboration between artisan and designer at the heart of Bottega Veneta’s approach to luxury, symbolized by the house’s signature intrecciato woven leather. In the summer of 2006, in recognition of the importance of artisanal craftsmanship and the fragility of this traditional way of life, Bottega Veneta opened a school to train and support future generations of leather artisans.

The most recent chapter in Bottega Veneta’s history began in February 2001, when the company was acquired by PPR Luxury Group, formerly known as Gucci Group. Creative Director Tomas Maier came on board in June of that year and presented his first collection, Spring-Summer 2002, to immediate critical acclaim. From the start, the house’s sensibility was refined, sensuous, and intensely personal, designed for a customer who is sophisticated and self-assured. In the years since, Bottega Veneta has introduced exciting additions to the collection, including fine jewelry, a watch, furniture, and home accessories, while continuing to offer an exclusive and coveted assortment of ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, small leather goods, eyewear, luggage, and gifts.

Distribution of Bottega Veneta products is global, encompassing Europe, Australia, Asia, North and South America, where wholesale distribution in select specialty and department stores is complemented by a growing number of Bottega Veneta-owned boutiques. These boutiques, designed by Tomas Maier and meticulously constructed to Bottega Veneta’s exacting standards, allow the customer to shop in complete luxury, privacy, and comfort. They are, like the products they showcase, a reflection of Bottega Veneta’s exceptional heritage and superlative quality.

Senior Summer School Heads To Albuquerque in September 2012

Senior Summer School Heads To Albuquerque in September 2012

Albuquerque, NM

Madison, WI (PRWEB) December 29, 2011

After a four-year hiatus, Senior Summer School is happy to announce another trip to this vibrant, unique Southwestern city.

“Albuquerque is an engaging community in a part of the country with a decidedly different look and feel than many of the places we visit, so we’re happy to have the opportunity to get back there,” says Senior Summer School Program Director Tina Fouts. “We’ve planned the ten-day session chock full of Albuquerque sights, sounds and flavors.”

Senior Summer School, an innovative nation-wide program for active, engaged seniors interested in lifelong learning, provides vacation options that are an eclectic mix of social, educational and cultural programming and include room and board in the base program price.

Fouts thinks of it as a sort of land cruise, or summer camp for intelligent adults. “We pick a city, generally one known as a college town, with lots of interesting and fun things to do. Then we plan an itinerary that gives a good taste of all the things that make that place so special and offers a mix of classes, events, trips and tours. It’s a great opportunity for seniors to travel and, to some extent, revisit ‘campus life.’”

Once clients get to the city, most meals, transportation, and other details are covered. “We have a lot of repeat customers, because it’s a relaxed environment that mixes a lot of elements without much hassle. There’s some learning, some socializing, some touring and exploring. We do the work and planning, they get to enjoy the experience,” Fouts states.

In Albuquerque, Senior Summer School participants will explore this diverse city and capture a glimpse into the beautiful Southwest and the long, proud history of the region, including Spanish conquistadors, Southwest native American tribes and their architecturally distinctive pueblos, the taming of the Wild West, military garrisons, and the integration of all of these cultures into a modern urban landscape. Geographically, Albuquerque includes both the Sandia Mountains and the Rio Grande – a river classified as ‘exotic,’ since it runs through a desert – and offers a sunny, dry climate.

Clients will tour the city and the University of New Mexico, famous for its Spanish Revival architecture, and visit museums in Old Town and Nob Hill, and the Rio Grande Zoological Park, which includes a world-class zoo, aquarium and botanical garden. Through classes and field trips, they’ll discover regional history and influences, as well as the deep cultural and artistic reputation the area has earned in recent years. Clients can also opt-in to other activities, such as a day-trip to Santa Fe and the Georgia O’Keefe Museum, a tour of the International Balloon Museum, the Acoma Indian Pueblo, and a ride on the breathtaking Sandi Peak Tramway.

The group will stay in the heart of the city at the luxurious MCM Elegante Hotel, convenient to most area sites and attractions. The hotel claims the most comfortable beds on the planet – always a bonus! – and, should you choose to partake, offers a free evening cocktail to guests.

Senior Summer School is also headed to Providence, RI; Eugene, OR; San Diego, CA; and Madison, WI this summer.

International Expeditions Announces Free In-Country Air on March and May 2012 Amazon Expedition Cruises

International Expeditions Announces Free In-Country Air on March and May 2012 Amazon Expedition Cruises

Spot vibrant wildlife on naturalist-guided rainforest hikes

HELENA, Ala. (PRWEB) December 06, 2011

Many savvy travelers are planning their next journey to take advantage of special early-booking incentives, and International Expeditions is helping budget-conscious adventurers jump start 2012 with an enticing gift. Those who book any March or May Amazon River cruise departure by December 31 will receive free in-country airfare — a $ 368 value per person. While this special savings is a treat, the true highlight of this compelling journey is learning about the legendary nature and vibrant culture of the Peruvian Amazon from seasoned local guides.

“The knowledge and enthusiasm of the expedition leader and naturalists was exceptional and they really made this journey special,” said Rala Stone of Burke, Va., who traveled on the Amazon tour in October. “The guides shared so much information about village life, which was really interesting, plus they were open and answered a lot of questions.”

Guests on the 10-day Amazon Voyage expedition travel more than 600 miles on the Amazon River and its narrow tributaries aboard the classically styled 24-passenger riverboat Aquamarina. Daily naturalist-guided outings take travelers deep into the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve to spot diverse wildlife, hike into the rainforest, and even fish for piranha. Only International Expeditions travels to the second ranger station in the reserve on each journey, ensuring guests the best opportunities for rare wildlife sightings. During excursions into the narrow river tributaries, guests may spot more than 100 kinds of birds, pink and gray river dolphins, sloths, giant otters and nocturnal animals such as caimans and capybaras.

Amazon cruise passengers also spend time with the ribereños, native people of the Amazon’s remote villages, handing out school supplies to children and meeting with a local shaman. Guests enjoy a penetrating glimpse into daily life while also taking time to participate in a blessing ceremony, learn about local agriculture and crafts, or sing Peruvian songs. Ensuring a high level of authenticity, IE varies the villages guests visit during their Amazon expedition.

When not discussing the rainforest or village life with the local guides, guests can stargaze on the open-air top deck or sip cocktails while enjoying the evening entertainment, courtesy of the ship’s local crew. An attentive 16-member crew ensures that guests are well looked after during their days aboard the Aquamarina.

Prices for IE’s 2012 Amazon riverboat cruises start at $ 3,898 per person, and include accommodations, excursions, complimentary laundry, most meals, guides, transfers, and tips to porters and waiters for included meals.
